Christiania, the anarchist town within Copenhagen that has 850 people living in it and is an interesting window into Danish Culture; can be combined with a climb of the nearby exterior spiral of Vor Frelsers Kirke
Tivoli, the second oldest theme park in the world but is full of gardens, restaurants, shows, and rides
Canal tour—the boats leave all the time and are not too expensive.
Copenhill is the tallest spot and the trash incinerator that provides the heat to half of Copenhagen AND is a ski hill and climbing

Museums in Copenhagen

There are 300 museums in Copenhagen and so many interesting ones but here are some of the favorites:
Gyptotek (Carlberg fortune, with art and sculpture from every era and age in a cool building)
Designmuseum (Denmark is known for its design and it is a really good display)
Carlsberg Brewery Museum (even for people who are not a fan of beer, it is SUCH a well done museum)
Danish Architecture Center (a cool building on the water a few steps from where you are staying with interesting rotating displays—also open on Mondays when most places are closed)
National Museum (overview of everything Danish—huge),
Museum of Danish Resistance (well done museum in underground cavern),
Workers Museum
State Museum for Art....
Neighborhoods to Explore

Reffen, Nørrobro, the Lakes, Frederiksberg, Meat Packing District, Islands Brygge
Louisiana is a modern art museum in a mansion next to the sea that is really beautiful, has interesting exhibits, and a good restaurant.
Kronberg is the "Hamlet" castle in Helsingør right on the straights across from Sweden and is amazing to visit.
Roskilde has the Viking museum (and a spot still making Viking boats) and is a pretty town on the fjord.
Castle Day: Fredericksberg Slot in Hillerød and the nearby Fredensberg summer castle (especially in July when you can take tours)
Røsneas Peninsula - a beautiful wine region on the west coast of Zealand with unique topography
Dyrehaven, Bakken, & Klampenborg: A huge park filled with deer next to the oldest amusement park in the world next a nice seaside town.
Lund/Malmo Sweden: Lund is a medieval town with a nice university and living museum; Malmo has an interesting fort and nice square but is less exciting than Copenhagen but maybe cheaper.

Odense/Egeskov Castle: Odense has an amazing HC Andersen museum andEgeskov is a very cool castle that has to be seen to be believed, as it has so much more to do than just visit the castle there.
Møn — Møn Klint and Liselund Slot
Aarhus - and home to our favorite museum, Møsegård, ARoS museum of art, Den Gamle By, and a cool redeveloped harbor area.
